Hood Canal FC is a year-round non-profit soccer academy in Kitsap County, Washington, established in 2011 as Silver FC.
Our unique program accepts players ages 4 and older focusing on developing their skills and passion for the game by training and competing throughout the year. We do not require tryouts and new players can join anytime.
We are entirely volunteers, driven by the passion in our hearts and the sheer joy we experience when witnessing kids play and have fun.
Joining Hood Canal FC: When a player becomes part of Hood Canal FC, they’re not just joining a specific team; they’re entering a comprehensive program. Our approach emphasizes flexibility, allowing players to participate in training and matches alongside peers of the same age or even ‘play up’ with older teammates. We tailor this based on each player’s abilities and opportunities.
What Our Program Offers:
-Maximized Ball Touches: Our program ensures that players get ample time with the ball, accelerating their skill development.
-Promoting Enjoyment: We believe in fostering a love for the game. Players enjoy their time on the field while honing their abilities.
-Fundamentals and Teamwork: Hood Canal FC focuses on ball-handling, teamwork, tactical skills, and physical fitness.
-Confidence and Competence: As players progress, they become confident and competent athletes, ready to embrace the game.
The Academy teams actively participate in Select-level leagues across western Washington and engage in tournaments throughout the state. Beyond our regular weekly training sessions, the academy extends its commitment to local youth players by offering developmental leagues and small-scale tournaments, all at an affordable cost.
Hood Canal FC operates with an entirely volunteer staff, ensuring that training, league participation, and tournament opportunities remain accessible. Limited scholarships are available to support deserving players. To sustain our operations, we charge a nominal monthly and annual fee specifically for weekly skills training. These fees contribute to essential aspects such as field rental, training equipment, scholarships, and administrative expenses.
